When you lie down, your jaw slips back.
Your airway narrows and the air starts to vibrate. DreamGuard holds your jaw slightly forward, so there is more room for air to move and less for it to rattle against.
How DreamGuard Works
Mould it. Set it. Sleep.
-
1. Mould it to your teeth
30-45 seconds in nearly boiling water, a quick cold dunk, then bite down. Five minutes, once.
-
2. Start at Level 1
Wear it at the gentlest setting for three nights while your jaw settles. Then move up only if you need to.
-
3. Sleep, quietly
Your jaw stays slightly forward, your airway stays open. Rinse it in the morning and put it away.
Who Is DreamGuard For?
Snoring is rarely a solo problem.
The Snorer
If your snoring comes from your jaw relaxing back as you drift off, holding it gently forward can make a real difference. Moulded to your teeth, set to your comfort.
The Person Next To You
One of you wears it. Both of you sleep. Fewer elbows at 2am, fewer nights in the spare room.
The Sceptic
Fair enough. A mouthpiece is not something you can judge in one night, so you get 30 nights to decide.
Getting The Fit Right
It will feel uncomfortable at first
That is the single most common reason people give up on a mouthpiece, and it is completely fixable. It has not been shaped to your teeth yet.
Mould it in five minutes
Nearly boiling water from the kettle. 30 to 45 seconds in, three seconds in cold water, then bite down hard. It should feel soft and gummy. If it feels firm, re-soften it. You can re-mould it up to three times.
Then dial in your setting
Ten settings, 1mm apart, adjustable while it is in your mouth. Start at Level 1 and work up only as far as you need.
Worth Knowing Before You Buy
The honest version.
Give it a few nights
It feels odd at first. Stay on Level 1 for three nights before you judge it.
Results vary
It helps when snoring comes from your jaw slipping back. Nobody can honestly promise silent nights.
Not for everyone
Not for under 18s, dentures, braces, loose teeth, or gum or jaw problems. Worried about sleep apnoea? See your GP first.
Your First Month With DreamGuard
What to expect, night by night. No hype, just the honest version.
-
Tonight
Mould it
Five minutes in the kitchen: hot water, a quick cold dunk, bite down. Do it before bed, not in it.
-
Nights 1 to 3
Start at Level 1
It will feel odd. Your jaw is getting used to a new resting position, so leave the setting alone.
-
Nights 4 to 14
Find your setting
Still noisy? Go up one level and give it two more nights. Most people land between Level 2 and Level 5. The right setting is the gentlest one that works.
-
Day 30
Decide
That is your 30-night trial. If DreamGuard is not right for you, tell us and we will sort it out.
-
Month 6
Replace it
The material slowly loses its grip on the shape. A fresh one keeps the fit snug.

DreamGuard FAQ
The questions we get asked most, answered up front.
Because it has not been moulded yet. Out of the box it is a generic shape that has to fit every mouth. Once you have shaped it to your own teeth it sits snugly and most people stop noticing it within a few nights. Please mould it before you judge it.
Mechanically. When you fall asleep your lower jaw relaxes backwards and the soft tissue at the back of your throat narrows, which is what makes the air vibrate. DreamGuard holds your lower jaw in a slightly forward position so there is more room for the air to move.
Start again. You can re-mould DreamGuard up to three times. After that the material stops taking a clean impression.
Start at Level 1 and stay there for three nights. If nothing has changed, go up one level and give it two more nights. Most people land between Level 2 and Level 5. Further forward is not better - the right setting is the gentlest one that works.
A little tenderness in the first week is normal and should ease within an hour of waking. If it has not eased by mid-morning, drop back a level. Persistent jaw pain means stop using it and speak to your dentist.
Replace it every six months. The material gradually loses its grip on the shape.
No. DreamGuard is not suitable if you wear dentures, have braces or other fixed orthodontic work, have loose teeth, or have gum disease or jaw joint problems. It is for adults over 18 only.
You get a 30-night trial. A mouthpiece is not something you can judge on one night, so take a month with it. If it is not right, contact us and we will refund you.
